The Ten Commandments

Earlier this week I enjoyed a follow-up conversation with Wayne Gary Player, son of PGA Tour Player, Gary Player. During the course of our conversation we chatted about his dad’s 10 Commandments. Both listening and reading these Commandments I wanted to share with you, our readers.

   Gary Player’s Ten Commandments

  1. Change is the price of survival.
  1. Everything in business is negotiable, except quality.
  1. A promise made is a debt incurred.
  1. For all we take in life we must pay.
  1. Persistence and common sense are more important than intelligence.
  1. The fox fears not the man who boasts by night but the man who rises early in the morning.
  1. Accept the advice of the man who loves you, though you like it not at present.
  1. Trust instinct to the end, though you cannot render reason.
  1. The heights of great men reached and kept were not attained by sudden flight, but while their companies slept were toiling upward in the night.
  1. There is no substitute for personal contact.

Wayne, thank you for sharing the words of your dad. Mr. Gary Player, thank you for your Ten Commandments.
